Service Explanation:MEC is a purchasing cooperative, one of eight coops in Ohio working together as a part of the Ohio Council of Educational Purchasing Coops (OCEPC). MEC is also an Information Technology Center serving Ohio schools as a part of the Management Council of the OH Ed Computer Network (MCOECN).
Objective Statement:The Metropolitan Educational Council (MEC) is a consortium of school districts and related agencies in the greater central Ohio area. The primary mission of the council shall be to contribute to the educational services made available to the youth and adults by the cooperative action of the membership. MEC shall identify, plan and provide to its members services that can be more effectively achieved by cooperative endeavors.
