| Service Explanation: | The Heights Area Special Rescue Team (HASRT) consists of six (6) participating cities (Beachwood, Cleveland Heights, Shaker Heights, South Euclid, University Heights and Euclid).
HASRT is composed of firefighters from each city appointed by the Fire Chief of each city.
The participating cities have determined to organize, train and equip a Special Rescue Team to conduct rescue activities requiring unusual training and/or equipment, such as rope, ice, confined space and trench collapse rescues.
The HASRT members will respond to calls for special rescue services within the boundaries of the other participating cities and those with whom HASRT has reciprocal agreements.
