b'Ohio Auditor of State2021 Annual ReportTraining Accounting and Auditing (A&A) trainingAll Auditor of State audit staff are required to complete 80 hours of Continuing Professional Education (CPE) every two years.The fall training consisted of four mornings of live trainings and a library of on-demand webinars. This provided auditors with 11.2 hours of mandatory CPE credit, with an additional 11 hours of optional available CPE credit. Audit managers received a total of 16.5 hours of mandatory CPE credit. The spring training session, provided as an itinerary of on-demand webinars, provided auditors with 15.1 hours of CPE credit.The office continued to utilize the catalog of available pre-approved CPE webinars and trainings established in the previous year as well as continually sending notice of live virtual training opportunities throughout the year. Training for all staff, as well as additional training for audit employees will be offered in the fall through live virtual training and on-demand webinars.The Fiscal Integrity Act (FIA) online self-reporting portalThe portal tracks continuing education credit hours for more than 2,200 registered fiscal officers. It offers more than 250 training courses and fiscal officers receive an electronic certificate of completion for filing and auditing purposes once training is completed.Annual Community School Training ConferenceDue to health concerns, the in-person Annual Community School Training was canceled. In an effort to continue to provide up-to-date trainings, the office created a free online library to deliver training on essential topics. The office posted additional materials such as training on CARES Act spending and Single Audit requirements. This year, the Auditor of States office and the Ohio Department of Education will provide a live virtual training for community school educators, administrators, and sponsors. The program will include several updates, including school funding, the Ohio Compliance supplement, and Single Audit requirements. Combined IPA ConferenceDue to health concerns, the in-person Combined IPA conference was canceled. The office created a free online library to continue to deliver training on essential topics and continued to add to the online library throughout the pandemic. The office posted additional materials such as training on CARES Act and Single Audit requirements. Village Fiscal Officers and Clerks TrainingThe office provided virtual courses for the 2020 Fall Fiscal Officer Training. Local officials were provided access to free, on-demand webinars.
