The Auditor of States office provided workshops on Single Audit and UAN updates. Annual Local Government Officials ConferenceThis years conference was held virtually and was free of charge for our local government officials. The conference was recorded and made available on-demand. The program provided updates and training topics such as the Ohio Compliance Supplement, ethics, state budgeting and funding, cybersecurity, and AOS office updates. Participants can earn up to 11.75 continuing education hours that qualify towards the Fiscal Integrity Act requirements. Annual Emerging Trends in Fraud Investigationand Prevention ConferenceHistorically, the Auditor of States office partners with the Central Ohio Chapter of Certified Fraud Examiners and the Ohio Attorney Generals office to train more than 650 accountants, attorneys, law-enforcement officials, and investigators on the latest trends in fraud investigation and prevention. This years conference was held virtually and included information on the latest fraud schemes and how to combat them, along with many other topics. External Speaking requestsDuring Fiscal Year 2021, the Training Department processed 63 outside speaking engagement requests. The office provided speakers for 43 external events hosted by 30 different organizations.
