Statement from Auditor of State Dave Yost
Columbus – The following statement may be attributed to Auditor of State Dave Yost concerning the Columbus City School District’s movement to terminate four principals in response to results of a special audit of the district released today by the Auditor of State’s office:
“This is the time for bold leadership,” Auditor Yost said. “The swift action taken today by Dr. Good and the school board is exactly what the Columbus City School District needs and the students and taxpayers deserve.”

The Auditor of State’s office, one of five independently elected statewide offices in Ohio, is responsible for auditing more than 5,800 state and local government agencies. Under the direction of Auditor Dave Yost, the office also provides financial services to local governments, investigates and prevents fraud in public agencies and promotes transparency in government.
