Statement from Auditor of State Dave Yost

Tuesday, January 26, 2016

Columbus – The following statement may be attributed to Auditor of State Dave Yost concerning the Ohio House’s passage of Senate Bill 60 - legislation to rename a portion of I-670 the Dana G. "Buck" Rinehart Memorial Highway:

“I-670 got funded by the federal government because Buck pounded on Don Regan and Lee Verstandig’s doors at the White House every month and rang their phones off the hook in between,” Auditor Yost said.  “This is a wonderful tribute to a man that would never, never, never, never give up on Columbus – or anything else.”

“Everyone who knew Buck will be forever grateful to Senator Hughes for his leadership on this bill,” Auditor Yost added.
