Statement from Auditor of State Dave Yost

Columbus – Today’s indictment of Athens County Sheriff Pat Kelly is the result, in part, from audit findings from 2011 and 2012 by Auditor of State Dave Yost that Mr. Kelly had improperly paid for personal clothing, meals and party supplies using public funds.

The following statement may be attributed to Auditor of State Dave Yost regarding the indictment of Athens County Sheriff Pat Kelly:

“Attorney General DeWine and his team have shown their commitment to justice with a long, determined investigation,” Yost said.  “This indictment shows that no one is above the law."
