Results of Auditor’s Review of Pharmacy Benefit Managers Will Be Released to Joint Medicaid Oversight Committee

Columbus – Auditor of State Dave Yost announced today the review by his staff regarding the fees retained by Pharmacy Benefit Managers (PBMs) to handle the state’s pharmacy management will be released to the Joint Medicaid Oversight Committee at its Aug. 16 meeting. The report will be released to the public at the same time.

Members of the Ohio General Assembly asked Auditor Yost to review the financial arrangement between the Ohio Department of Medicaid and the PBMs out of concern that the fees were excessive.
