Auditor of State Dave Yost Releases Android Version of Ohio Stops Fraud App
Columbus — Auditor of State Dave Yost’s Ohio Stops Fraud mobile application is now available for Android users. Ohio Stops Fraud was launched in January 2014 as an iPhone app and allows users to easily report suspected fraud in government anytime, anywhere.
“Ohio Stops Fraud is a valuable tool in the fight for government accountability,” Auditor Yost said. “Increasing its accessibility to Android users will strengthen Ohio’s army of citizen auditors.”
Since its launch, Ohio Stops Fraud has been downloaded by more than 400 iPhone users and generated 20 tips that have been reviewed by the Auditor of State’s office, or referred to other agencies.
Ohio Stops Fraud allows users to submit tangible evidence by:
- Attaching a photo or video of the suspected fraud;
- Submitting the exact location with the GPS locator; and/or
- Explaining what happened via the voice recorder
Other Features include:
- A report tracker that allows users to track the progress of their tip or complaint; and
- A news section connecting users with what's happening at the Auditor of State's office.

Each year, the Auditor of State's office receives hundreds of tips from public employees and private citizens from around the state. More information about reporting fraud and the Ohio Stops Fraud app may be found online.
