What led to this audit?

We reviewed the City of Findlay’s Water and Sewer Departments at the request of City Officials. This report, which was client requested and paid for by the city, provides detailed analysis based on peer comparisons and industry standards related to the production and distribution of water and the collection and treatment of wastewater.

What did we find?

The City’s Water and Sewer Departments are both operating in an efficient manner and are able to produce and treat more water at a lower cost compared to peers. Our report found that the City maintains staffing that is in-line with or less than peer departments and that billing rates are lower than state averages. We identified two recommendations that could assist City Officials in continuing to improve the operations of the Water and Sewer Departments.
