A: At this time, UAN courses are available through the Local Government Officials Conference (LGOC), the UAN Year-End Event, and the UAN website. When developing the Fall Fiscal Officer Training agenda, the Auditor of State's Office strives to offer topics that are broadly applicable to all attendees across various local government entities.

Because not all local governments utilize UAN services, UAN-specific courses are not currently included in the Fall Fiscal Officer Training curriculum.

A: Ethics training opportunities are currently available through the Local Government Officials Conference (LGOC) and at no cost through the Ohio Ethics Commission's website. The Auditor of State's Office strives to provide training topics that are broadly relevant to all Fall Fiscal Officer Training attendees.

Additionally, elected officials are only required to complete two hours of ethics training once per term of office (every four years). Given the availability of ethics training through other sources and the limited continuing education requirement, ethics courses are not currently included in the Fall Fiscal Officer Training agenda.
