Miscellaneous and External Trainings
This page houses a comprehensive list of available or upcoming trainings in the miscellaneous and external categories. The training department is always pursuing additional options, including the self-reporting of classes that have been approved by a Fiscal Officer Integrity Act committee.
Important: To receive credit for these trainings, you must self-report your hours via the Training Portal, within 90 days of taking the training. Before you start any trainings that are not provided by AOS, contact the training department (providing as many details as you can about the training) to see how many hours would be approved.

The Ohio Township Association Annual Conference offers many sessions and is attended by more than 300 fiscal officers, who receive at least 3 training hours needed for the current year.
The OTA coordinates and hosts a variety of training opportunities and events throughout the year, including the annual Winter Conference & Trade Show.

The Sunshine Laws Training provided by the Ohio Attorney General’s Office is a three-hour
session, free of charge, provided to public officials or their appropriate designees and public
employees, as well as members of the general public.

UAN application training focuses on the functionality of the accounting, payroll, and budget modules, as well as a variety of additional topics covered by lunch-and-learn webinars. These sessions are recommended for UAN clients
